Streaming milestone approaches.
BTS’s Jungkook is on the verge of another record as his solo track Hate You nears 200 million streams on Spotify. The song, released in November 2023 on his debut album “Golden”, has already surpassed 190 million streams and continues to draw over 300,000 daily plays more than a year after release.
A Fan-Favorite Ballad
The lo-fi pop ballad has captivated listeners with its emotive vocals and piano-driven arrangement. Fans praise its raw lyrics, which explore the paradox of manufacturing hatred to mask lingering love. Jungkook has called Hate You his favorite track from Golden, adding personal weight to its success.
Global Collaboration and Visual Impact
Written with Shawn Mendes, Scott Harris, Peter Rycroft, and Henry Russell Walter (Cirkut), the track blends Western pop sophistication with Jungkook’s artistry. Despite no official music video, a visualizer on HYBE LABELS’ YouTube channel has surpassed 62.3 million views, released just before his military enlistment.

Golden Album Records
Golden sold over 2 million copies on its first day, setting a new record for a K-pop solo artist. Five other tracks from the album—Seven (feat. Latto), 3D (feat. Jack Harlow), Standing Next to You, Yes or No, and Please Don’t Change (feat. DJ Snake)—have already crossed 200 million streams. Hate You is poised to become the sixth.

JungKook’s Streaming Dominance
The milestone will also mark Jungkook’s 11th track to exceed 200 million streams on Spotify. He recently became the first K-pop soloist and fastest Asian artist to surpass 10 billion unfiltered streams across all credits. The Golden album itself has amassed over 6.4 billion streams, cementing its place as a landmark in modern K-pop.
